HMS Prince
« on: December 29, 2006, 03:02:43 pm »

I'm sure I saw a photo somewhere of a new static kit coming out from Amati of HMS Prince.

Amati discontinued the "old" kit in the 1970's.  it used to come in a big wooden box and, I believe,, was their most expensive and detailed kit as HMS Price was very ornate - lots of brass castings for decoration.

I also believe the designer of the new kit is an English guy.

Anyone any more news??

More news? Only that the designer is Chris Watton, originally responsible for most of Jotika's Nelson's Navy kits, but he left them and went to Euromodels where he looks after their Victory Models kits as well as doing work for Amati.

The guy who designed HMS Diana for Jokita , didn't he move to Victory Models where he is just finishing off HMS Vanguard, the 74 gunner that was Nelsons flagship at the Battle of the NIle?

Also haven't Victory got a tie-up with Amati?

Well, I thought that was pretty much what I said earlier.
