It's more than likely coming up the propshaft, try it in the bath first, run it up but hold onto it firmly. You'll be able to see where it's coming from then.

If it is coming up the shaft, you'll need to pack it with grease.

Am I right in thinking that the stem is below the waterline? I seem to remember it is.

My last  leak (snigger, snigger) was in my Springer, which eventually turned out to be due to a bad prop tube / shaft.
Nothing for a few minutes then it just poured in!  >:-o

well ive had it in the bath , it remains dry as a bone ,until i take it to the lake  where it has this strange attraction for leaking !  ive made a new rudder & post thats now above the chine line ,  still cant find a leak , does anybody sell a small self bailer i can install instead ? ive now changed the shaft for a 4mm one & fitted a 35s two bladed prop , performance is much better although it now prop walks to port !

I've got one of these going cheap if you're interested:

http://www.orionmouldings.com/apps/webstore/products/show/1151293

Hull / deck needs glassing together and theres no hardware etc.

How's £15 plus postage sound? Bear in mind you will probably need a new rudder to cut to legnth, its just over an inch and a half deep at the transom.

The existing shaft and electrics will go in there fine.
