Mechanism for RC rowing boat
« on: October 21, 2009, 05:45:25 pm »

Has anyone thought up a good mechanism that can be hidden inside a figure sat in a rowing boat where each oar can be controlled separately?

Has anyone designed a system that properly feathers the oars?

Mike Sheppard is the man to contact if you can, he is from the Haverfordwest area. He used to go to many shows in the past but seems to have cut back on the travelling over the past couple of years.

 What about
the "Tina rowing boat" from Graupner I know that its long deleted from the range but I could post a pix of the gubbins
from mine and if I remember there is a bit of an article in the may model boat mag showing a prototype rowing mechanism.

                                           cheers

There is a nice idea for a boat in this months MMI it uses 4 servos and a microprocessor , there may be a follow up in next months if there is enough interest.
