Plans suitable for small brushless motors?
« on: May 07, 2010, 08:22:02 pm »

I have a number of smallish brushless outrunners & ESC's left over from abortive attempt at electric 'planes.  Does anyone know of any suitable boat plans to use these in?  I'd prefer balsa construction and, ideally, downloadable plans if possible.  All suggestions gratefully received

Sign in to International Waters and there are plans under "portal" http://new.intlwaters.com/freeplans.htm

Another place for plans is http://www.modelpowerboat.com/forum/

You may need to scale some of the plans to get the size you want.

All I got on international waters was code or page not found and on modelpowerboat I got some (Baby Bootlegger, Crackerbox, shovel nose), but Puffer was code.

Thanks anyway.

Wilf, the shovelnose is nice little drwving for a small motor.

I now have Wilf's motors, etc.  (A deal we've done) so I will need info on living with brushless and LiPos as I haven't the first idea what they're all about!  But all I know is they LOOK fantastic and the magnets are the strongest I've ever felt!

Any of the pacific balsa kits are good and very reasonable also very easy to convert to a brushless setup

price is around the 15-20 pound mark
