VERY nice Hama !!!

Came together much faster than I expected so I guess you had alot of fun
builing it.

You should search for some S Gauge figures (1:64) guess thats the closest you'll find.

Looking forward to see it with smoke generator and filled up with staff & passengers.

Cheers, Bjorn

Thanks Bjorn!
Well even though the pictures tell a thousend lies, I'm really pleased with her and thats what counts isn't it? I've wanted one of these since I was a kid and my wife even says that it would look nice in the living room and thats a first!
I hope you find a kit some day, looking at your pictures of the Bohuslan I realize you would make a fantastic Waxholm 1. I'll keep my eyes open.
Thanks for the tip on figures, S gauge is what I'll be looking for.
All the best!

I hope you find a kit some day, looking at your pictures of the Bohuslan I realize you would make a fantastic Waxholm 1.

Yes, the Bohuslän build quality is actally stunning, but TBH it's my model but I didn't build it (as I say in that thread - a recent aquisition)
Some minor fixes needed though. Then the same here - for the first time my wife want a boat in the living area !!!
Must be something special with our Swedish Coastal steamers.
 O0 O0

I've seen quite a few Bohuslän during my years but nothing coming close to the finish of each of the details in this one.
It was built more than 30 years ago of a very competent gentleman in southern Sweden, found it on Tradera and seeing the quality
it was a steal for the price so I couldn't resist buying it. If someone want/need, I got some very nice close up photos of it, as well as some 250+
photos of other Bohuslän builds.... Drop me a PM with email addy and I'll send some zip:s.

The guy is actually selling another of his boats right now, Billings Mercantic.
Based on my model, I expect a stunning build quality.

3rd time on aution, now without reserve (earlier highest bid was 220 Euro), he accept international buyers:

Seconded - you've made a great job of what looks like a very basic kit! Hope my Bohuslan (if I ever build it) looks half as good...

Did you build the cabins/upperworks using the wood parts supplied in the kit?

Hi Dave and Edward and thanks for your nice comments!
Yes Edward, I used the supplied timber. It was terrible to work with, and not one window looks like the other after my clumsy cutting and filing. BUT after painting the overall appearance from a distance is OK!  %%
Maybe I'll take some better pictures of her on the water next time out.
All the best!

Check out Priser or Bachmann for figures. 'OO' gauge would probably the best because they tend to be a bit oversize.

Hi Hama
You have done a very nice job on her and the photos are great. I saw a built up one in the model shop in central Stockholm and it looked a very nice shaped boat.
