New test sail Model Maersk Master, scale 1/50, (new pitch controled prop
« Reply #11 on: April 26, 2011, 09:04:14 AM »

Yesterday I made the first test sail with the self made CCP.

It was a test for the exact programming the pitch and ESC.
also to test the CCP and propshaft is watertide.

And the resuld was a very happy modeller.
I reduce the pitch to 38 degrees but still (to) much power.
The latest photos are also with th ethrusters full ahead..

Please enjoy the photos.

Wow, what a great model.... I didnt see the older pictures before, and the webpage open in the middle of the set and detail shots. It wasnt until I scrolled down that I realised it was actually a model...amazing detail..... wish I had the time and skills available! Great work MTrader.

Hello.

Indeed that was last year in the modelling harbour of the SMG IJmond shipmodel club.
But that was with the old Pitsch controlled propeller. The new workes as original, and with the exact measures of the MANDiesel CCP.
Here a video of yesterday.

That variable pitch propellor is a work of art - do you have any photographs of it being made or of the workings inside it.

GR I have just looked at your building log on the RC Forum.  This is engineering far beyond my ability - haven't used a lathe since school.
Really enjoyed the way you designed and built the unit.
Excellent

I like too. Would love to have variable pitch props on my ferry but at 50mm' that's micro engineering well out of my skill range.

Model Maersk Master, scale 1/50, Ah/Tow winch
« Reply #22 on: June 11, 2011, 03:47:23 AM »

The model Maersk master is finished jet.
After finishing the new CPP I build also the original (working) Ah/Tow winch.
Nearly without any drawings and only with some photos I tried to build the winch.

The winch is complete build under the superstructure so you can't see it in normal situation.
Also I must working in combination that the winch can taken out complete.
