hi all wanting a springer
« on: May 18, 2010, 12:18:10 pm »

would it be possible for one of you lovely springer builders to make me a  hul  :Dl for a price of course my woodworking skills are limited to say the least lol flat pack would be fine as ime sure i could glue it together my misses six year old has taken a huge interest in my speedboats and i think this would be the perfect boat for him as it could take the abuse  it would undoubtedly get with him at the controls supervised of course

thanks guys  :-))

Take the plunge and build it yourself, its dead easy, if you can use a jigsaw you are 90% there. If you cant, practice on scrap, you will master it in minutes.

Once a springer is done, you will move on to other scratch build stuff - just you see, its addictive!

Think of the satisfaction you will get, and of course, the respect from the young lad (and his mum) that you did it all yourself.

Keep us informed.

Especially if you can get your 6 year old involved in the build..

Make two.. one for you, one for your son... and let him design his own superstructure..

I have an unopened Aquirius springer kit for sail. The story is that having built my own springer from scratch I decided to try one of our German friends kits. After one month I hadn't received it so I emailed him and he sent another kit F.O.C. Hey ho!  HM Royal Mail delivered both kits on the same day. I said I would sell the second kit and forward the money to Aquirius.
The price is £50 for which you get a complete set of wooden laser cut parts for the hull and superstructure and instructions.
If you are interested pm me.
