Years ago, my dad brought home a water colour picture of Pittenween, in Scotland. I've always liked the picture. I'm not sure who painted it, probably a colleague of his.

Any way I've always wanted to go there and see the place for my self and this week I did, It's been maybe 50 odd years but here you are the painting and my photo taken where the artist must have sat !!!!

The place hasn't changed much....

It is a lovely place. And if anyone is wondering what's beyond those houses on the far right, you can take a virtual wander!

My wife and I spent a great week there
last year
We had a lovely flat right down on the harbour
We used to watch the boats go out at night
and return to land their catches in the morning.
By coincidence we later found out that the flat
owner David Tod was chairman of the Anstruther model boat
club who are affiliated to the Fisheries museum in Anstruther.
