Hi, i have a half built Miami 55 with Zen 260 motor running on Bonzi hardware, stringers, engine, drive all done

A few questions

1, do i need a t bar?

2, Whats the best running in mixture % for petrol/oil

3, who balances/ sharpens props

4, Does anyone use the Spektrum MR3000 receiver, if so is it good.

Can you post pics?

1. A T-bar locates the stuffing tube at the motor, if the stuffing tube is not supported then you need a T-bar or some form of support.

2. 300-350ml good 2-stroke oil to 5 litres petrol is a good start. I use Castrol A747 or Castrol TTS. You may like to use a good non-synthetic for the first few tanks to help break in the ring.

3. Dave Marles at Prestwich balances propellers. http://www.prestwich.ndirect.co.uk/index.html It is the middle of his racing season at the moment so it could take a while. Not that hard once you start.

4. Don't use the Spektrum myself and not many I know that do. Spektrum got a bad reputation amongst fast boaters initially with loss of control issues. Futaba FASST seems to be the current favourite.

Thanks for info, brought Spektrum rc set DX5E (TX) with MR3000 (RX) yesterday , will try it out, if it dont work my son has just got new radio for his car , will let every one know how it works when boat ready for the water.

Will try and post pics in next few days.
