)The team from the lion park model boat club jersey will be there again this year, nine of us will make the trip over from the channel isles
again we look fa ward to a great show, meeting all the club members and getting some more of that great northern welcome,

I am supprised that nobody has mentioned the show yet (well i cant find the post) so here goes .

AT THE DONCASTER AIR MUSEUM

I will be there with the goolies and the other regulars /clubs .
I think there will be the usual guys from our favorite modeling supliers.

Great show again today, the boys from CADMA / Conisbrough & District Modelling Association put on a good show.
The show didn't seem as busy as last year, maybe people still despondent about England's performance yesterday in the world cup...

This was my first boat show; I was amazed by the standard of work on display,If every show
is as good as this one,

I cant wait for the next . I dont want to show any favouritism
but personallly I thought York model Club were superb, Well done to everyone

Hi Guy's. Balne Moor m.b.c. had a good w/end at the C.A.D.M.A show, And it was nice to meet the gang from Lion Park model boat club jersey. Also saw the LOLLIPOP MAN

and friends. Will try to add some photo's.

Oops me looked in the wrong place

Any ways the saturday went well , a but quiet maybe cos there was a football match on the day before

but enough of that.
Quite a lot of familiar faces there and some new ones , hello to the Jersey lads , i will try and see you all on monday at Goole .
There was some realy good models on display and on the water out front , and i did get the baby SDM tug in the water , and it did go well after some assistance from mr Dave ACtion who loaned me his soldering iron , and then realised it was pluged in where his cash register went

, this guy will bend over backwards for you.
And after a slight delay i did get the tractor tug on the pond , the delay been me going over to SHG and buying a new planet radio , mine wont transmit so will be off back to get it sorted .
But it was well worth it and even the Jersey boys had a go .
The best display , i cant realy say but if Tom Gorman was judging even he would have his work to do as they were all realy good , although Goole was great

Hi Fellow Mayhemers. I would like to thank all the members of C.A.D.M.A and the staff of the Doncaster Air Museum for all their hard work over this weekend. Members of Kirklees Model Boat Club whether on the club stand or just visiting had an excellent weekend. Club members were kept busy dealing with questions from the visting public. An excellent show lets hope to be putting in the diary for 2011.

Hi to Everyone. My model of the U.S.S. Gambier Bay has been seen many times in the last six years at many model boat shows and in many publications also. Over this weekend I have been able to show the completed model at the Northern Model Boat Show. During those six years many people have seen the model in various stages of construction. I would like to thank everyone for there positive comments on this project over this time. Gambier Bay will be on show for the last time at the Model Boat Convention held at the Birchwood Business Centre Warrington in August. After this show Gambier Bay will have any batteries and radio gear removed and will be placed in a large box that will be kept in the garage. Some time in the future she will return and go back on the show circuit until then many thanks to all fellow modelers and the general public for all your support during the six years it took to build this model. I would like to thank Martin at Mayhem for all his efforts in taking time to follow the build of this model also Jerome at S.H.G for producing a C.D disk of the constrution of Gambier Bay over the six years.

Red 181,
the owner of the 'Orca' is a member of HEMBC in Lincoln, he has had many attempts at this vessel, each larger and better than the last. Go to HEMBC web site and look through the pics.
Brilliant show, congratulations to the organisers and all the traders who were most convivial and helpful.
