« on: July 06, 2010, 12:45:15 am »

Could any of you very knowledgeable gentlemen advise me on what motor would suit this tug.
I`m a novice at anything tug orientated but I intend to use her for this tug towing lark that all the guy`s at the club are raving about  %)
Any advice will be gratefuly received :-))
Cheers guys.

Bri,
If you are using a scale prop you will only need a max of 4000 rpm.
The geared MFA 500, 6:1 should provide this but rather noisy.
Up in Glasgow there used to be Hi Tork motors which would run on 4000 rpm on 12 volts, ideal motor.
