The nearest I came to building a working one is on CLEARWAY the dredger, it is so complicated, I built the bucket and it opens and shuts , but its not heavy enough for it to open on its own even though its made of metal, so I scrapped the idea of putting in the motors.

Thanks for that Mayhem - the questions you are asking, slewing, raising the jib, hook etc and geting them to all work are exactly what I have been trying to get my ole grey matter around .

Have found that someone has claimed to have sucessfully got the crane working on the Graupner Seabex One Kit but cannot find out how they have done it - one of our European modellers in Germany I think- some more searching on the Net I think and a crash course in German translation !!!!

Surley someone somehwere can offer the solution to us !!!!

Now thats what I call challenge !!!!!

Hello guys, i'm a new member from italy; i'm a crane model maker and last year i've built my first deck barge of steel in 1/50 scale.
Now I'm going to convert the barge into a crane barge with accomodation and other equipment.

I'm looking for some photos of crane barge models built from other member or modeller everywhere.

thanks

Is that one of those Conrad/ NZG diecast cranes?

No Martin, the crane is self made by steel and brass, like me other crane models.
