waterproof sealant

any idea as which decent cheap sealent to use on bottom of my bait boat which is plastic,have just had to drill hole in base to feed wire from echo sounder to inside,thank you.am in uk.

i use
 (sticks like sh*t) from screwfix ,available in sealent or adhesive
costs around £6,
take a look at the reviews on screwfix.

have some hard as nails will that do,with bathroom sealant over it.

If you have just spent out on an echo sounder why not use the BEST sealer not cheap to seal the hull!!

like i said in my first post,the boat is plastic,have some hard as nails,but dont think its waterproof,also have a tube of bathroom sealant.not sure about any of them,cheers.

is it called epoxy glue and comes in two tubes,one the resin and other tube hardener,cheers.

yes, just rough up each surface with a bit of a rub with sandpaper.
Mix well, ensure both surfaces are covered then place in position.
Wipe off any excess while still wet and leave for 24hrs.

as long as you put enough on the inside egde it will "flow" slightly.
I just hope you wont have to remove it as if done properly it should be harder than the plastic.

holes now sealed with epoxy resin and painted over.gonna leave for 24hrs as mentioned,thanks for all the advice. :-))
