Am I the only one to thinking George has magic elves working for him?!?!

You found out his secret. He was hoping no one would figure it out. The little devils are all over the place  {-)

Truly amazing Jerry, still have a Bombadier on the fridge when your back over, can't find a decent stream to watch the Canada-Norway game so I might as well go to bed.

Just as a mater of interest, looking at your superb brasswork, I got to wondering how heavy this model will be.
A truly beautiful job of work. BY.

Hi Robert. You missed a good game. Hope all is well. Every thing is still frozen solid here.

...BBC in their ultimate wisdom put it on through their interactive service, the daughter woke me at 230 and asked me why I was watching ice hockey so late, silly girl.

Anyway, saw all 8 goals and deliberating about the effects we will have on the Swiss, nothing personal. I'm contemplating writing the BBC and revoking my telly license, which in essence is highway robbery.

Can you imagine the uproar if the CBC didn't air these matches, and poor Don Cherry would be out of a job,

I bought all white metal fittings for my first tug, when they where delivered  I decided they where to heavy (Plus not very nice) so set about making some in brass, I found they probably worked out about half the weight, plus they where custom made to my boat , I think fittings have come a long way since then and some of the resin fittings are very nice now and I will use them, I also but some brass fittings because I dont mind making one fitting its a challenge but to make 20 the same is a pain (thats why I am playing CNC) so brass can be lighter plus you get satisfaction from making them ( unless its 12 vents for a fire boat in brass)

Ive just spent an entertaining 2 or 3 hours reading your thread from day one - Im half way through my second model
which contains a lot of brass in the form of lattice masts and radar platforms etc and I really thought I had improved my
soldering techniques  until I saw what you can build - it is brilliant an Im very jealous. The compass is a work of art -
how did you dome the cover and is it all silver soldered or ordinary solder that you use?
Please keep the pictures coming Im learning so much.

Aye, his metal-forming skills are second to none while his soldering cannot be improved upon for neatness of joint. Defines what's meant by a 'craftsman'.

Lovely Tid Tug and what a clean and tidy workshop, very envious of that lathe.
On my Tid I used the material fron a dark blue cotton pillow case.

Regards,

Len.
