Five foot steam tug.

This is my tug i scratched built from scraps.It is planked on ply wood ribs.The boiler is seven inch diameter scotch marine type. With a Stuart twin. Send more photos later. Dougmaz

Bloomin heck the tug looks the dogs preverbial but lads check htis guy out wouldnt we all like a test tank like that

Having seen Dougs tug in the flesh, so to speak, when he came up to Darlington & District MBC a couple fo years agao, I can honestly say it's one of the nicest models I've seen in a long time! It certainly is a monster, and I wouldn't want to carry it very far, but the workmanship is superb!

I hope you'll visit us again if you come over to England Doug?

Doug
When you click on "browse" you enter the site of your photos.
Click on your first photo to download it onto your posting,
Then click on "more attachments" which will bring up another "browse" button.
Then repeat procedure.

My tug is fired on coal.  But can be changed to electric motor in one hour. I'm going sell it soon and start another boat .When steam plant is out its not that heavy. Dougmaz.

Hi Doug I live in The Gong too and also into model boats and steam stuff really like your steam tug .
I am currently building a 1/48th scale model of the Manly ferriy South Steyne with 4 inch dia return flu boiler and my own scratch built twin slide valve engine , as I have only just joined this great forum haven't learned how to upload any pics yet like you I can build computers but cant t type or use the things
