WHICH PAINT TO USE FOR BRUSH PAINTING? HELP!
« on: July 10, 2010, 09:53:54 pm »

HI..

Can anyone reccomend a paint type that is readily available that can be applied with a brush to a hull undercoated with halfords acrylic plastic primer which will provide reasonable results when used with a good quality brush?

Thanks

I have used brushing enamels from Phoenix Paints in the past applied with a pure sable brush. The paint was stirred well and I warmed it up a little in a bowel of water before application.

Hope this helps

Should have added, while I painted over Halfords red primer this was about 8 years ago and the composition of the primer/ paint  may have have changed since then so try first.
