Conecting two ESC,s to one reciever
« on: July 14, 2010, 10:29:09 pm »

Hy Guys
When conecting two ESC,s to a reciever, one for throttle/rudder control, and the other for a seperate motorised winch, am I right in thinking that one of the red power leads on one ESC should be disconected, and if so wich one.
Many Thanks.

You only need to disconnect the red lead to 1 ESC if they have a BEC.
This powers the receiver from the main drive battery.
It ensures that there isnt any conflict between them which will blow 1.
Which ESC's are you using?

If using a separate receiver battery, disconnect both. If using BEC and and want to power the Rx from main battery, you should only have one ESC with red lead connected how ever many ESCs are in your set up. (you only need to power the Rx once :-))) It doesn't matter which one, as all ESCs are connected to the main battery, all are capable of powering the receiver.

Hy Bob
At the moment maybe useing two cheapo japanese jobs, I have a few Action esc,s, but did,nt want to take the chance on blowing them, been there, done that. Thanks for the confirmation just had to make sure.

mhk1058, thanks for that, I will go that route should I use the Action gear as they both use seperate battery packs.
Cheers Lads
