HMS Repulse
« on: July 16, 2010, 09:58:33 am »

In between my lifeboats i took a change of direction and started to build the Fleetscale Repulse, the first Fleetscale i have attempted and it has turned into a brilliant project, most of the build time is taken up with studying drawings and books etc, here are a few pics to show where i am at....

She's starting to look better now Russ especially the bridge section.  I didn't realise you could make boats that weren't blue and orange. %)

I didn't realise that you had such hidden talents, I wonder if you're any good at anything else?????

Great build, superb detail, did you make the blast bags on the main guns
yourself or are they part of the kit. :-)) :-))

hi guys,
nice work there.
what do you all regard as 'scratch built' ?.
from a plan with no 'bought items/hardware?
if so this is my HMS Price of Wales.built about 10 years ago now from a 'russian card model book' as a plan.1.200 scale
all parts made by hand

[sorry if this is regarded as a hijack....... but they both lie together .  ;) ]

sorry about the pics, but all covered in wire frame and cling film.......STILL waiting for a glass cover ;)
regards
