According to the www, the sole UK agent is Steve Webb Models - www.stevewebb.co.uk
Head bolts themselves should be easy - especially if they are metric sizes. Anything else is a bit more specialised.

Hi there GWA84

Just wondering - have you given any thought as to which mix of fuel you are going to run / or do run your Enya Engines on?   With them being an 'old' glow engine - I have looked into this and have been given 2 different answers.   I am a bit reluctant to run my Enya engines on fuel mixed with synthetic oil.   I spoke to a guy from our club who runs vintage glow-engines and he recommends to run them on today's fuel with the synthetic mix.  Another guy in a different club suggests mixing in caster oil with the synthetic - so - run engine on 5% synthetic oil - and a 10% mix of caster oil.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?   I have 2 Enya 19s for powering the Surfury. Here's a pic of me motors....

If Steve Webb or Just Engines can't help with spare parts try this extremely pleasant and knowlegeable gentleman...

John D. Haytree

Phone 01626 852330.

If he can't help out no one can!...I think he is semi-retired now and only works Mon-Weds...

Old engines like these would have been run on a mix of 80% methonol 20% castor...maybe + 5-10% nitro (adjust the % of meth to suit) castor does gum engines up after some time and the synthetics are much cleaner...have a look at the Model Technics web site for a suitable mix...if it was me i'd go for a synth/castor/nitro mix like MT Irvine Sport 5%, it has a small percentage of castor for protection, I can't see any harm in using synthetic fuel in these engines, unless you run too lean! (same for any engine really!)
Seafury...nice...I've still got the MB mag from 1968! never did get around to building one :embarrassed:

Yes if you are happy with your fuel stick to it...!  :-))

Forgot to mention Mr Haytree does not do "technology" he's not on the web so no Email contact, would have to phone him.

Just realised I can't spell   SURFURY not seafury...DOH  :D  {-)

Hi there gwa84 and jab

Thank you for replies.   It is surely turning out to be one of those grey areas about running 'old' engines on different fuels.   As you can guess it must be about 30+ years since I last touched this stuff; and playing a nostalga trip is proving to be a bit of a pain in the proverbials.   It is very obvious that gone are the days when we could ask for either KeilKraft fuels in the tuns or even tins or the shop ready made stuff remember  :-)) it is all high-tech stuff now.

I am going to see if I can lay my hands on some old fuel mix or the equivalent and go from there.  %%

Seafury surfury what the heck   :-))  call it what we like  ;)

Bluebird

Your Enya 19's will be fine on Model Technics GN-5 or similar...20% castor 5% nitro 75% methonol here's the link

http://www.modeltechnics.com/glowfuel.htm

My PC can't deal with the PDF price file but expect about £10/Gal, it is available in 1/2 gal bottles, gwa84 will know.

Yes it was so easy when I were a lad O0   my ED Racer only needed a tin of Keilkraft diesel fuel and a quick pull with the rope and we were away  :}
