Motor / prop coupling
« on: July 21, 2010, 08:10:27 pm »

How do I remove the rather cheap looking drive coupling from the motor and propshaft ?
I'm thinking of fitting a slightly larger motor and a universal joint coupling.
Will there be any problems in doing this ?

looking at dickyd s photo i cant see any problem removeing the coupling , it may have to be presuaded with a dremel slitting disc after you have withdrawn the shaft , ive had a simalar coupling on a project im upgrading too , it was moulded to the shaft . answer was to simply cut through the dog drive &remove it .
