Thanks guys. The containers are kits each one assembled, painted, transfers added, weathered and then sealed with matt varnish. There are around 200 containers on the layout.

wow Gauge 1 is awesome but i'm an american N Gauge Enthusiast With The 4-8-8-4 Big Boy Being My Pride And Joy, saying that i've only recently just started getting back into from my childhood so the Big Boy is my only american at the moment with 2 british 0-6-0's J class saddle tanks doing most of the work %%

i'm HO guage but would love to go N.  not practical for me though. i have enough trouble rerailing HO loco's and wagons let alone going to something half that size. :-)

I used to dabble on Triang/Hornby 00 as a boy but I've always wanted a Welsh narrow gauge type layout.
I saw one once at a model rail show in Doncaster, quite charming....

"near future" .... on a Galactic scale - Yes!

All the train modellers out there, does anyone know of the display I've seen, the Welsh narrow gauge one.
I remember it had a children's playground and a 'have-a-ride' train in it.....

Hi Martin
Sorry I have not seen your welsh layout and I have been modeling for 70 years, which is not bad for a 69 year old.  :}
The reason I was out of modeling boats for a long time is that I went back to trains.   I was introduced to a layout in Melbourne that needs at least 12 people to run it successfully but had to give it up when we moved house.
I have a small Prussian era 1 branch line which one of my grand daughters comes and plays with every now and then.
I would be happy to join a model railway site  O0

If you're thinking of starting a train mayhem site, count me in. I tend to think in narrow lines too. Welsh narrow gauge is great, but awkward to get bits for on this side of the pond. I do Canadian narrow gauge instead.

Here's an interesting site done by one of our lads over here, Brian Fayle. He's a great modeler and innovator, and doesn't mind sharing his tricks and tips:

Don't tell anyone on here but I went to a Model Train show a week ago!
The National Festival of Railway Modelling at the East of England Showground.

1. It's one of the worst set of photos I've ever taken.
2. It's much darker in the hall than it looks.
3. I should have taken a mono pod
4. I should have used a better camera

.... well here they are anyway   -   http://tinyurl.com/6bnk6x5

Thought i'd give some input here if you don't mind!

Aside from my Tugs and Warships (all of which im still to post pics!) I have always been into '00' gauge model railways, primarily the North Eastern region, all the way from Early LNER days, up to the BR days of the 60's.

However, here's one for you .... Im planning a new project in On30 (Narrow gauge on H0 Track) and hopefully I will be able to recreate ...(Wait for it)... the area in Walt Disney World, Flordia known as Frontierland, with particular attention to The Railroad station and Splash Mountain.

I am currently looking at rolling stock to recreate the Steam locomotive 'Walter E. Disney' and it's rake of open coaches.
