BEC Receiver

(1/1)

Tom@Crewe:
My receiver is a Hitec HFS 03MM the info says 4.5 - 6V it does not say its BEC.
My boat runs a 7.2 pack
I don't want to carry receiver batteries in the boat.

So how do I get round this, do I need a new receiver with BEC (where from how much)
Or is there a BEC circuit I can use.

What is the best standard practice???

barriew:
Action  www.actionkit.co.uk do a stand alone BEC - costs £5.50 as a kit or £8.00 built. Its pretty small, so you should be able to fit it in.

Fast Electricals:
Many electronic speed controls include a BEC circuit. You will be able to run your receiver directly from the main drive battery with one of these ESCs.

Alternatively, here is a DIY BEC design.
