Welcome back, I missed seeing your build thread which to my mind is the best model I've seen in a very long time.

It will be 100th the length of the original ship - you can look that up.

2.5metres long (8foot 3inches long), so definitly a Trailer, estate car or two part hull job. That is still excellent work Tomasz. I am inspired by it and will keep my eye out for further progress. Sometimes, huge projects burn your enthusiasm out, so pace yourself!

Tomasz......that is amazing scale quality  :-))

Interestingly, I found versions of the Flakvieling C38 mounting that used hand elevation drive [two men = four hands] as opposed to hydraulic drive.....

Studies have shown that these Flakvieling C38 mountings were far superior to the AA mounts as used by the RN at the time.......Derek

Tomasz
Brilliant work and build quality, some thing I'm sure we all aspire to- I certainly do! Look forward to your next instalment.

Derek
The C38 may have been supposedly superior but it suffered a massive flaw- it was designed to predict modern aircraft for the time I.e Messerschmitt 109 speeds not Fairey Swordfish, due to the predicter sights set to shoot down modern aircraft the AA guns continually fired forward of the Swordfish never getting close to the them!- so the closer the attacking Swordfish got, the further the sights were out, the poor old swordfish wasn't fast enough for the modern AA sights! Which meant the Bismarck was defenceless against an obsolete torpedo bomber.
