Tamar Wheelhouse
« on: August 10, 2010, 09:02:52 am »

You guys that are building a Speedline Tamar.  When you received the kit, re the wheelhouse, were the window appartures there.?
My moulding is solid, no window appartures.  is this normal?
I'm awaiting my CD from Adrian, does this include a template for the window appartures?

Dear Ken,
No, the window apertures are not there and have to be marked out. The dimensions are not on the CD. The best way you can do this is by buying the Tamar plans from the RNLI. I started without them and was completely lost. They are a set of 5 and make life much easier. You will also need them when you come to join the upper steering position moulding to the cabin.

Thanks for the info, Chris.

I live fairly close to Poole, so I,ll visit the RNLI and get a set of plans

The last time I ordered plans the contact was Mrs.J.Durman RNLI Engineering jdurman@rnli.org.uk Took couple of days to get back to me. They may have to print them off in advance. I'd check with them first. Regards, Dave. :-)) :-))
