The photos posted by Peter were taken in the foyer at the ferry terminal in Zeebrugge and may be worth the trip to see the models on display. If my memory serves me right there are models of all the first three generations of ships which served the port over the years. By the way the the Norland/Norstar models are actualy pre-lengthend representations with the center lifeboats removed and a new paint job. Having seen them in the flesh the size is impressive and i would think they are 1:100 scale. Even at 153cm this scale would not fit in my car.

I thought there was 'something' about that model!!!! Thanks for putting my mind at rest...

Your model is a work of art by the way - a real credit to you. I just hope I can do justice to a model of the Norland.

Thanks also for the tip about the models being in Zeebrugge - I will be passing that way in June this year, so will pop into the terminal and take the opportunity of photographing them as best I can.

Will keep you posted on the progress of the Norland.......
Safe sailing
