Hi Gent's am building this one but what colour should the lifebelts be  gray/white, as revell seam to think, or red/white, or orange/white. Thanks  regards Sentry.

grey white.. reason is if there bright colours they could get picked off/ spotted easier.. grey and white blends into the boats colour so not to make them and easy target

revell tend to be pretty spot on with there colours they do make an effort to try to get the colours right. not always but 90% of the time, I have found that with the Gato class sub i recently painted the recomended flat black for the hull was to deep a black and i ended up using 'nato black' not as the original but it does match better with the photo i obtained of one of the sisters that was in colour, although rusted to a bucket the colour was clearly there, i also found that this black i used shows up the detail better on the hull rather then blend it together looking like a bit of char cole!
