New member and new project

Good day All,

I have just joined your forum and glad to be here. I am 62, now retired, and about to start a new tug.
The model of the Amsterdam you can see has unfortunately parted company with me during my travels from Hackettstown, NJ to the UK.
That was the first and last time on the water. I was about to get some indication of how much ballast she would need.
Shortly after this picture was taken we moved to the UK via Egypt where we spent a year on business. Somehow the shippers lost the box with the hull in and now all I have is a box of pieces and fittings.
Last week I ordered the Eskgarth hull which should arrive early this week and I will get started with a lot of built up enthusiasm and some frustration.
I look forward to posting pictures of the build and all the great support which is very apparent on this site.
Very glad to be part of your forum - Allan.
