2.4 Sets & Receivers
« on: August 23, 2010, 11:37:21 am »

Recently mention has been made if needing a new radio Control unit to consider the new 2.4 sets. O0
Whilst I have found some information, minor amount, on 2.4 sets am in the dark with how many receivers will work from the one transmitter. {:-{
Some comments seem to indicate that a couple of receivers will work from the one same transmitter.
Does this mean that with one transmitter and two receivers two boats can be operated or have I misunderstood something. {:-{

It depends a bit on the make. Spektrum have a range of Receivers for the DX range of Transmitters. On non-memory Txs, you can have as many Rxs of the same model as you want assigned to one Tx. With memory TXs you can have a different Rx model for each stored boat model.

I'm not sure of the situation with Hitec & Futaba. Here in the UK the cheap Chinese sets which are sold under various brand names only seem to have one model of receiver for them, so they can have as many Rxs as you want assigned to one TX.

Can you sail two models at the same time with one Tx - well that depends on your powers of concentration {-) {-) :}

Do you remember the TV program "The Addams Family" how about Gomez down in the basement playing with his train set. Two trains approaching from either direction - any similarity %%
