Hello Stew49, all the lights on the boat are the white metal ones that came with the kit, modified and drilled out to take grain of wheat bulbs and the lense covers made from an old biro/pen tube. Yes, it was a bit fiddly and a good test for patience but they came out really well in the end. Managed to (just) fit all the wiring inside the mast tube so there's nothing on show. Sorry haven't got any close up pics, but you can see the method on the Model Slipway site in Ivor Warne's review, this was from Model Boats March/April/May 1996.

Thank you Tony, great help, dont know if my modeling skills are up to that. or my eye sight {:-{
