Hi there Typhoon

I am not a great lover of face book - dont use it much - but, there are several photographs on facebook regarding South Shields and the river Tyne and there are a good few pics amongst them of Tugs - various ships and I sure there are pics of the old pilot boats.   If you go onto facebook and type in South Shields in Old pictures or something like that - you will be able to get the pictures up.   I think there are many photographs of old Shields but you can get thumbnail pics up and take it from there.......might be of some help to you and anyone else interested there are some good old pics there.

Kevin, yes I received it OK.
Rather than use the Mayhem site for forwarding e-mails, my e-mail address is actually stated under the "profile" button on the site.
I suggest that further messages should use direct e-addresses. Still busy trawling my records for more info. Regards. Bryan.

Kevin, do I take it that I can now forget your interest?
Having said that, if you do get the issue you wish for then perhaps you will be intigued by the journal. There's a wealth of information published there. Not just that issue, but all of them. Good luck. BY.

not at all bryan, first of all ive got to win the auction and anyfuther information would be appreciated. im very interested and intrigued about the whole subject. mountfeet themselfs or the late frank hinchcliff e was a bit vague about the prototype , all i know is she was built in the early 1900 then she was purchased by the tyne commissioners in 1923. to my knowledge there is only one published photograph of her.  i would like to say a big thank you to all that have given help and time .
