steam....game for a laugh?

OK, time has come too clean the boiler inside. What would I use????? A standard descaling solution?????

Also as a side note.....could I use iron water (the stuff you buy in shops that smells nice that you put in an iron) I want my steam engine to smell all nice!!! LOL PS I know this does not clean it!!!!

Hi Klunk,

Calgon- follow directions on packet, really is that simple. Just make sure you thouroughly wash it all out before recommisioning.

if it is de-mieralised water then yes, you can have scented exhaust emmisions, if it is de-ionised you will erode your boiler and have a rather fun time trying to persuade your better half that you are competent enough to boile the kettle from now on.

I use ether vinegar or citric acid depending on how bad it is.

If you want phosphoric acid put some Coca Cola in your boiler, I can not think of a better use for it ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
