Bluetit,

Do you have a paint chip or colour match as you could go to north east factors and get some made up.

Try here http://www.stephen.hull.btinternet.co.uk/381.html  http://www.nationwidecoatings.co.uk/BS381c.phpLook for 473

Riggers, well, my mate, since I am an old 'Sand-dancer' here a few words in my native tongue

الحفارون شكرا جزيلا بلادي ماتي     ;D ;D ;D

also, what I was wondering was are there any lads who build supply vessels and the like may use a Halfords say Astra Red or some other Red for the Gulf Red which they know is a very near match  :D

John
Halfords Fiat Red-Orange works for Aziz, which was one of six identical ORSVs working in the Gulf. Maybe give that a try?  ;)

Hi all, and FLJ

Been out to Halfords and according to the Mr 'GORM' behind the counter this colour does not exist in his store anyway.  (The Fiat Red-Orange).   No doubt in some good Halfords stores it will be sitting in the shelf & will be staring in the face - but not so in Halfords here  ???.

Anyway, I surfed the web this afternoon - and came across Phoenix Paints - being sold by a railway model retailer  -  Phoenix Paints do a colour for the railway modellers PP293 - BR Engineers Gulf Red -  This is the website

http://users.computerweekly.net/ka/shawplan/phoenix.htm

I have been on the Phoenix website, but they do have a good selection of paints which no doubt we could all utilise.
