Hi All,
I have been following this post with interest.
First off many thanks to Howard Q for his recommendation to my site. And for everybody's interest in the site and King George V.
Long story short i need some room so i am reluctantly putting my own King George V up for sale.
She has been built using -National Maritime / Denny Builders Plans,
Notes and plans from the late Phil Thomas
Construction techniques - She has mainly been constructed using cnc manufactured superstructures, seats & fittings.
Progress - She is approx 90% complete with only detailing on the stern decks needing attention.
Fittings - Almost all bought fittings are from Caldercraft / quaycraft / James Lane ...etc
Running gear -She will be supplied with two ideally suited motors but no radio gear.
King George V is a stunning Clyde Steamer and makes a fantastic model both on and off the water.
About the sale - I am offering her for sale here prior to listing on ebay.
As many of you know unique models like this frequently sell for a lot of money at auction houses. As a modeller myself I'd prefer she went to a modeler with an interest in sailing her rather than sticking her in a glass box.
Cleared payment prior to collection - Strictly collection only. Although i could bring her with me to this years Blackpool show for collection.
Prior to listing her on ebay next Saturday ( 2nd Oct 2010) I am inviting offers in excess of £299.00
Offers and notes of interest should be sent to
[email protected]Many thanks for your interest,
Kim
