1/20 Brede class lifeboat
« on: January 29, 2007, 06:51:31 pm »

I've just been flicking through past copies of MMI looking for my next project and I fancy having a crack at a lifeboat  - So far the Brede class is looking favorite but i would prefer to make up a kit rather than scratch build.
I know that Metcalf make the hull and deckhouse..and that a company called K and S models do a kit but i dont seem to be able to find any trace of them.
Does anybody know if they still exist and is the kit still in production?

Pretty sure that Metcalf has never done a Brede, but Kingston Mouldings do, www.kingstonmouldings.com I remember that little Brede by K & S Models, but they seemed to disappear within weeks of one of the magazines writing about them. Googling didn't come up with anything at all.

Have a word with Hunter Systems as the were selling the K & S Bede kit when it first appeared and they may know if the company is still around.

Models by design do a really nice moulding set and you can use Speedline Windows of course.
