Thanks for the comments guys. Out on the lake again today with her and 2 more rescues under her belt, a Sydney Star caught up in overhanging branches and a MTB out of power! That's 3 rescues in 3 outings, not too bad! Dave.  :-) :-)

They're from Robbe, R1375 Deck Lamp 14x10mm, 2 in a set for £4.50. Got to put some more on the bow. Dave.  :-))

Made some more modifications to the springer. She's already got a fair few rescues under her belt so had the idea of fitting a working crane on the stern. So I've now got fitted the spring loaded gantry off my Paula III and the working winch! Made use of it first time on the water with it fitted when one of our club members got his PT15 caught up in branches overhanging the lakeside. Gantry was swung out and hook lowered to snag railings to pull stricken vessel out. Going to charge recovery or claim salvage soon! Dave.  :-))

Firstly , what a great Build.

I have Question, looking at the picture below is the Kort Nozzle the correct way around ?.  its just I thought and probably wrongly that the smaller opening was towards the bow with the larger outer area towards the stern ?.  or does it make no difference  (Its just I am fitting one and can not make up my mind which way it should be..as others I have seen are the same both sides.

Be-Seeing You..

Hi there, cheers for the compliment. The wide opening of the Kort faces towards the bow, narrow to the stern. It forces the water through the slightly narrower opening giving more 'thrust'. You'll also notice on mine that the Kort mount is on the outside of the hull, usually they're inside but I was limited with the amount of room I'd got to play with. The gantry on the back has been a great addition too, very handy for rescuing other boats as I can just hook onto the railings, also good for removing big branches out of the lake!
I'll probably be taking her to Ellesmere next month for a bit of a play on the water. Cheers, Dave.

The deck crane is a nice addition.

Well us Citizens of The Village have got to stick to together.. :-))

I did wonder about the mount but it looked so right I never really questioned it.. :}

Well I've been stuck in The Village for years and only get out on good behaviour. Andy from Models By Design has commented on the Kort too but after he saw it at Blackpool he agreed it works well. Runs for hours and hours on a 7.2v 4500mAh battery too, Dave.

Hi there, it's a Graupner Speed 600-Eco (No 3323) or Graupner Speed 600 7.2v (No 1793), the sticker has come off so I'm not 100% sure which! Dave.  :-))
