Tug YARRA Info Wanted..
« on: January 30, 2007, 10:39:12 pm »

I am looking for information on the tug YARRA...

I believe there was a free plan in one of the Model Magazines about 1982.

If anyone has a copy of this plan i will pay costs for postage if i can borrow it to copy...I will of course return the plan if required...

Thanks in Advance... Norry...

Hi norry,
I was on the firsat ship the Yarra handled in Melbourne in the 70's, loads of power, I remeber having a barney with the skipper cos he was trying to kill my mooring party on the aft end, he was a real abrasive ausiie. Shame I didn't get pictures then, she was new

Hi Norry!

I think I might still have the Yarra plans from that magazine - I certainly have the magazine! Would you settle for some good copies of the plans? It would be easier that way, and if they do go astray in the post, I can always send you another set.

Best regards,
Glyn

When I built my Yarra aka Lady Maia, I e-mailed Adstream on the Medway where she is based and they sent me about a dozen pictures including ones taken in the dry dock when she arrive from Oz. They did differ from the plans in MB. I can't copy the pictures as I have lent them out to someone lse who is making one.
