Did this class of tug really have 10 Officers? Plus "guest" cabins. Doesn't sound much like the RMAS tugs I used to know! BY.

When I was on there, 4 x Deck Officers, 4 x Engineers, Radio Officer, by then we had lost the Electrical Officer.

Here she is alongside Rubble Jetty, Devonport:

When built she had as Shipmate says plus a radio officer, the guest cabins where for a Salvage officer and diving officer, also she had accommodation for a full salvage diving team. Remember the R's where originally designed for the RFA Tug section not the RMAS, the Rollicker and Roysterer originally where RFA tugs and manned by them the these where eventually handed over to the RMAS to run for efficiency savings and where virtually demanned immediately by the RMAS. The Robust went from new to the RMAS because the decision had been undertaken to hand all the MoDn Salvage tugs to the RMAS. Also for those that are interested the Robust had a different screw setup from the others to make her more efficient.
The RMAS also removed the lifeboats very quickly to save money and improve their inherent poor stability.
