R/C Conversion of Revell Snowberry
« on: October 10, 2010, 07:21:50 pm »

HI All

Now that I am well on the way to getting all the parts together for my Hermann Marwede conversion,I
was wondering if anyone knew of a conversion thread for the Snowberry?

Something like a Plastic Magic article would be fine,or if a member has documented a conversion, that would be great.

Many thanks

Alan

Just put Snowberry in the search window. There are a few there. I know SHG Marine sell a conversion kit with everything to carry out the conversion, props, shafts, rudders, anything else required. Give them a call, they'll be at the Blackpool show this weekend I think. http://www.shgmodels.com/acatalog/  I also think Models By Design can do a replacement hull in grp/fibreglass to replace the plastic one in the Revell kit, not sure if it's on their site though. They'll be at Blackpool too. http://www.modelsbydesign.co.uk/  Regards, Dave-Number6  :-)) :-))

Always make sure you use the search facility from the main page as it will only search from the page you are on.

There should be several Threads on this with good pictures of each stage of RC'ing.
They are a good model but have to be ballasted deep or tend to "bob" (no pun intended) about if light.

I had a look at Models By Design and sure enough they do a replacement
hull for the Corvette.

Exactly the same dimensions as the Revell Kit,in fact their site say's you
can build the Revell Kit on their hull.

Price is £54 plus p&p.

Thanks for all the links.
