Help with scale conversion

Now i found something about scale conversion somewhere, but now i cant find it anywhere >>:-( <:(.

Can anyone point me in the direction of how to work out the scale off something.

i want to scatch build a model i no the sizes off the real vessel, but how do i get it the right scale?

or a scale which is manageble.

Full Size divided by Model size will give scale

Full Size divided by scale will give Model size

Model size multiplied by scale will give Full Size.
