Hi, The bigger motor will be better, but only with a gearbox with at least 4:1 reduction, the first stage of the planetary gearbox of the donor drill would be ok if you can figure out a modification of the housing.

A quick update.

Our submarine is starting to get "finished" (alot of testing left).
We are only waiting on the last delivery with the motor, a few parts for the rudders and an extension wire.
Delivery from cornwallmodelboats.co.uk.

If we get the deliveries on Friday, 3/11, the submarine probably will be ready for the first test on sunday!


Due to a lack of time, since the project will be handed in too our teacher at the 25/3, we are only focused on getting it working.
In a near future there might be a much more good-looking submarine, but it remains uncertain.

Unfortunately the WTC isn't properly sealed therefor we haven't been able to go for a ride with it.
She will probably never sail. Instead a new project will be started were we take with us what we've learned on HMS Olympia.
