Air Sea Rescue launch
« on: October 31, 2010, 08:10:13 pm »

Reading a SAGA magazine and in it was a story about a man whos Father served in ASRLs in the war, he found some photos of his fathers boat, and searched to find out what happened to her. She is still in existance, in a Junk Yard near Barcelona!!. He managed a trip to see her, and she is in a bad way, they say beyond restoration. The boat is complete, some windows broken, but the Superstructure and hull look complete, but the paint  shows the RAF Roundel and the original colours. I have seen worse wrecks be restored!! Has anyone else seen this article?

I found the Mag, it is the June edition of Saga. I scanned the photo and here it is. She looks pretty good to me. How about bringing her back home?
