This model was built for static display, so nothing operates, and it will never see the water.
The following models, however, were built to create a towing event and used working cranes.
The first event was the Belgian "crane and pin" competition done by the Modelbouwvrienden Hofstade, Belgium.

The Belgian event required two or more tugs to line up the "windmill foundation" over a steel pin.
For our event I built a similar crane, however we required the tugs to maneuver the crane
so that the "transformer module" could be placed onto the offshore platform.
