Hi

I am building an Atlantis and have just fitted the bulwarks. I was advised not to fit a Genoa but am intrigued by the additional "bells and whistles" that would be needed.

Two questions.
1  Is it now too late in the build for me to add a genoa?
2  Should I add one or is it (as previously advised) more trouble than it is worth?

Thanks

Rich.

I am not that far in my build but did order the Genoa sail.  In the beginning of the manual it says: "The completed Atlantis can be retro-fitted with the Robbe Genoa set with rolling reef arrangement without difficulty."

I cannot comment of if it is worth it but I like the extras.

Hello
I have a brand new Genoa sail fitting kit and sail which i never got round to fitting on my Atlantis, shown sailing in company of Smarag.
The boat sails well without Genoa, and on coming about at end of tack may encounter problems, really designed for use on long tacks .
If you interested in kit let me know, cost about £80 but will sell for half that if you want it.
Regards
Terry

Hi Terry
Thanks for info which confirms what I was told before. I will be sailing on a fairly small lake which will require a lot of tacking so I guess I should not fit the genoa at least until I see how she goes, but thanks anyway.
By the way, what did you do about the gap between the deck and bulwarks?

Gap at bulwarks was not noticable when finished, just ran a bit of superglue inside

I'm about to start an Atlantis build and I'd like to see a photo of this boat under sail with a Genoa.

Any offers?
