My new toy
« on: November 06, 2010, 10:15:46 pm »

Hey guys, normaly i design and build my hulls/boats but seen this in the local model shop and thought id give 1 a try just to play around with while building.
Must say really impressed with the quality of the hull, all edges are sharp and no imperfections, like warping or uneven ride pads etc.
Theres 2 x 70 watercooled escs,2x 2860,2881kv motors, they do have plastic cooling jackets on but thinking of changing these anyway for 2 leopard motors.
34mm counter rotating props, and got some 3s lipos but gonna order some more.
also got 2 x arneson styled cnc struts and motor mounts.twin water pick ups.
Hull is 820mm x 240mm x 120mm.

Here's one like it. With a single motor.                                                                                                                                                                         http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320611221457&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_5072wt_1139

Well finally managed to get it wet, apart from putting some thread lock an all the nuts, bolts and grub screws just chucked it in the drink to see what happens.
Had trouble with cavition, forgot my prop box so couldnt try any bigger props,as iv got some 36mm,3 blade counter rotating props, comes with 34mm,3 blade 1s out of the box,but got speed and motor esc and batts were hardly warm.
