low tech solution

Tech.Solution

I may have to post  more than once as my one finger typing speed is rather snail pace.
My pointing digit gets tired and I have to use a pencil up my left nostril, which is not easy.
I often get timed out and then I can’t remember altogether what I said so can’t repost.
Now to get to the point
Earlier this year I had some trouble with my computer .As you do.
Shortly after this started I purchased a shiny new garden spade. You know, one of those high tech jobbies.
I declined the offer of “Go Faster” stickers and a water cooling system.Well, I’m not that fast nowadays and I think I’m more likely to over heat than the spade.
I stood the spade still in its wrapper in my “ play room” next to the computer.
In conversation with my better half I suggested trying the spade on a deep hole in the garden to bury the computer and give it a clout on the way down
Do you know, I swear I heard a little whimper.
It was a few days before I could do any gardening and in that time the computer seemed to have really come to life and worked perfectly.
The low tech solution?
Whether the computer was terrified or the spade is acting as a reflector/amplifier I’m not sure But I keep the spade in the same place and when a get a small glitch I stroke the spade lovingly.
He! He! He!
Computer 0 myself 1
. :-)) :-)) :-))

I agree, I think deep down, these recalcitrant devices that have become essential items do understand.  I have threatened items in the past by flexing my credit card at them and commenting on performance etc.

Although I admit to failure with my printer it always got over excited and heated when faced with a reality check and dried up the ink as revenge.
I went and bought a much better one, this one has a nice smile where the paper goes  in and comes out and seems to be much better adjusted to life.
A water cooled spade, now that really is a must have!  Would that be downwardly compatible with a garden fork?

regards Roy
