Wiring harness options Tug Burutu
« on: November 09, 2010, 05:43:49 am »

 ok2
hi all . I have a twin motor set up in my Burutu tug and have two 12 volt batteries and two Electronise 43X speed controllers. Is it best to link up the two batteries to one buzz bar or keep them seperate and feed a motor with each through the ESC.?
Are both the red leads on each ESC from the RX retained.
I am sure this has been well and truely answered elsewhere in the forum, just cannot spot the info.
thanks

Hi rayna,

It's not really a good idea to parallel the batteries as one may be weaker than the other and current will flow between them.

I would advise using just the one battery and wiring up the ESC's in parallel to the supply each with a separate fuse. The individual outputs from the ESC'c are then wired individually to each motor via another fuse .

This way, should a short or overload occur then it's fuse will protect that part of the circuit.

Hope this helps

Ken

......... and if you are using two ECSs and no Receiver battery, then disconnect the red lead from one of them, If using an Rx battery, disconnect them both :-))
