    ...Hi BB STE...

MMM are holding a Pre Season Bonanza on 10th March at their Base in Lincoln...

A few of us Tug-Towing chaps are going to Balne Moor (ex Featherstone) on the 18th of March for their event...Should be a few new tugs getting the wrappers removed...

There will be a Pro-Am type Tug In at Largs in Scotland on 17th of June...The usual suspects will be on parole,(Oops I mean parade)...All  Welcome...

Where are you based ?...

                  ...Best Regards...Norry...

A Pro-Am?

How do you decide whose a Pro and whose an Amateur? No smutty answers please, it's a genuine question!
And once decided, how does the competition work exactly?

Eddy

Hi Norry,
Yes we are the usual suspects! Can't you work it out from the name?  CLUE: BB, we were at MMM when the pro am was suggested for Largs!

One half of this duo made notes!

Hi Eddy,

This is the better half of BB Ste.  I can type faster.

As to who is who,  If you are one of the motley crew your a pro,  If you have not done this before or we don't know how skillfull you are, your an am!
As too how it works...
All the names of the AM's are put in a hat as with the PRO's one name from each is pulled out and thats who you sail with around a two-man course. the less you hit as a team, the more chance of winning.

Where are you based?
Have you sailed tugs before?

See you, Better half! & SteJ.

Hi Steve,
How are you all doing?  This is Kath by the way, As I said to Eddy I type faster than Ste.

Go on then I'll tell him, If he doesn't figure it out!  :D  8)

Whats the format at MMM, Are both you and John going down?
Is anyone else going?
Ste is on about bring some of his heaps with him. He will hopefully be bringing his new 4 foot monster!

Although it is still just a hull, he assures me he is going to start building it today.  I will post photos as and when the build goes on. Kath & Ste.

              Hi Eddy,
The Idea is for two tugs one person classed as a pro that tows
on a regular basis with a team, the other person that's not
shure of towing, IE. am. that gives the chance for the am
to take advice from the pro. Last year John Hugh's from E/port
club. pro. Billy Noon from Scotland, am. won the towing.
It was the first time Billy had towed in a team.
          Billy is still SMILING.

Hi John,

Just making bread and cakes in my UN-finished kitchen!  However, ste & I have come up with a deal to get the Kitchen finished, so I'll keep you informed as to progress.

As to your age, well the mind boggles!

I'm going to hand the keyboard back to ste although he may not be on for much longer as he said he is going to do something to his boat!!

are you going to mmm on 10th?
any new tugs for this season?
                                   cheers Ste

             Hi Eddy,
If you are intrested in tug towing why not come and meet the lads
down at Balne Moor M.B.C. near Goole. then when you do your Spindrift
you will know whats what. If you have not got a boat to tow with
then you can borrow one, and that's for any body that is intrested
in tug towing, come along and have a go. don't wait for the pro-am
day. the towing is on March 18th. see you then.

     Regards,

     John.                  POLL

Thanks for the explanation Kath and Ste..... I've never tried tug towing in a competition, but it's always something I've fancied having a go at....

Maybe it's time to get off my fat behind and do something about it?  :D

Regards

Cheers John, I'll bear that in mind - I'll see what's happening (family wise) to see if I can get a pass for the day to come down to Goole... I would need to borrow a boat though, as I don't want to invest a lot of time and money into something until I've at least had a go at it.

Eddy
