HM Brig Supply
« on: November 13, 2010, 09:06:37 pm »

Getting away from RC and other builds I have been working on Jotika's kit of HM Brig Supply. Have now finished the hull and the Masts and Yards. It has taken me two hundred man hours (more or less) and will now take a break as he rigging is next and will have to do some research as the instructions are somewhat lacking. I had previously built Jokitas kit of HM Schooner Pickle and found that the rigging instructions were much more informative and so will use them for guidance as I proceed with this build.

Here are more of the pix of the hull with the deck fittings located and the cannon fitted. Also the masts have been fitted except for the bowsprit yard and the driver boom and gaff. I started on the standing  rigging today and I guess that it will take me well beyond the Christmas season. At least it will keep me out of the cold Canadian winter.
