Wired servo control
« on: November 23, 2010, 11:40:37 am »

I have some old micro servos from assorted RC things I've killed/caniballised over the years.

To add a bit of interest to my planned model railway layout I was thinking of wiring them direct to some kind of rotary control.

Can anyone supply info on how it can be done? I've seen it done with switches but i want to be able to stop it at any point through its motion

Hi,

Technobots  do a number of servo controllers that may be of interest to you. They do a simple  rotary pot to servo board, and also a number of USB to servo controllers.

There's also a company specialising in model railway electronics that does kits for using servos for signals etc. www.heathcote-electronics.co.uk
