What does this sign mean on Dutch tugs?

Another question that maybe our Dutch friends can answer. What does this sign mean (see picture) is it a towing indicator?

Its the internationaly understood emblem for 'vessel towing during hours of daylight'. The shape is often two intersecting black lozenges that give the appearance of a solid diamond 3d crystal form. In the hours of darkness the correct towing lights are lit.
